The Google Meet recordings are automatically saved to the meeting organizer’s Google Drive by default and the meeting host can find them under My Drive > Meet recordings folder. Besides, the meeting organizer and the person who started the recording will receive an email that contains the recording link and they can directly access the recording by visiting the link.
As you can see, Google Meet saves the recordings to cloud storage, which is convenient for sharing but may not be preferred when you wish to save the recorded videos in local storage.
