“I want to screen record on Mac with sound and I know the built-in QuickTime Player provides screen recording features. Can QuickTime record screen and audio at the same time?”
QuickTime can record screen and audio via the screen recording feature. By default, this option helps to record your screen and microphone. When you need to screen record on Mac with voice, you can select the microphone you want to use in Options and then start the screen recording.
However, since Mac doesn’t have native support for recording internal sound, you can’t directly use QuickTime to record screen on Mac with system sound. If that’s what you want, you can either perform QuickTime screen recording with audio by adding and setting up an additional virtual audio driver on your Mac or use a third-party Mac screen recorder, such as SurFlex Screen Recorder, to easily screen record on Mac with sound:
Step 1. Download and install SurFlex Screen Recorder on your Mac.
Step 2. Enable audio recording and select System Sound as the recording option.
Step 3. Select the recording area and click REC.
